Juventus F.C.

To me, Juventus is more than just a football (soccer) club. Its one thing I've lived with during thick and thin. I've seen Juvenuts winning a lot of trophies while losing others. I would say I have watched about 750 games for Juventus at least so far. I usually see every single game during the season and also the season preparation games. Each game is no less than 90 minutes. This might show what kind of connection we have. I remember one time there was a girl told me "I wish you would like me as much as you love Juventus". I would be able to survive without much music .. But not Juventus.

How did I get into Juventus and what made a Bianconeri (Juventus) supporter?

When I was 6 years old all I loved as a kid was my soccer ball (taken from the video tapes from when I was young and parents talk). I was watching Juventus vs Fiorentina game in 1993/1994 season with my brother and I knew who Juventus were because in one of my video games back then there was a team called "Juventus Turin" which was meant for Juventus from Turin city. Juventus were losing 2 - 0 during that game and when Del Piero came in the second half .. The team ended up the game winning 3 - 2 just in the second half when Alessandro Del Piero scored the winning goal. Since then I realized this is the team that has the champion's character and the story has begun since then. I started following up Juventus news in the newspapers or watching their games every Saturday/Sunday as there wasn't really any available Internet service back then .. And the love story started since. In that Year Juventus ended up in the 2nd place in the Italian League when it was the beginning of Marcello Lippi's sucess era. The year after the team won the Scudetto (Italian chapmionship).

How many Juventus kits do I own? Which ones?

Hmmm .. Thats a good question. I have a lot of Juventus shirts. I have three back from the late 90's. I've had every uniform starting from 2001 till this year when I'm waiting for the new one to get it from Italy when I go to see Juventus kick-off season game in Italy.

What is my best/worst Juventus memory?

Living all these years watching Juventus games .. I have a lot of them but there are a few that I love to read/hear about them whenever I get the chance to. I would say some of them is the UEFA Chapmions League final game against Ajax. Also not to forget the games against Real Madrid whether in 2002-2003 season, 2004-2005 season, or 2008-2009 season! All those games were awesome!

While living a lot of happy moments with Juvenuts .. There were also sad ones following them. One of the worst memories is that one when Juventus were sent down to Serie B after the Calciopolli scandal back in 2006. Not to forget losing three champions league finals in Marcello Lippi's era. Also the final game against AC Milan back in 2002-2003 season in penalty kicks.

Any other things related to Juve?

Well, the capitano Del Piero and the appearance with the Italian national team is always a wondering question for me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Del Piero to play with the Italian National team in World Cup 2010!

This is really short to express what Juventus mean to me .. But always and forever with Juventus whether in happiness or sadness!

This year one of my dreams will come true to watch one of Juventus games live in the stadium! <(^^,)>

One Day in Paris

JUST ONE? What are the some of the best things to do in Paris only in one day? this means one thing .. I didn't have any time to lose. Got up early (7 am) and got ready to leave the hotel around 8 AM. While the rest of the fam are still getting ready, I decided to take about two hoursto wonder around the city. So it won't be much fun to go alone for the first time, meaning I took my brother as a company which was a good thing to do!

I have always heard about the Pavillon Elysée Café Lenôtre in Paris which is is consecrated to the art of entertaining. Reading about it before going to Paris siad "Le Pavillon Elysée is the place for epicurians who are passionate about gastronomy, fashionistas taking a break from shopping on the avenue Montaigne and for the hip events of Paris society." Deciding to go to have a good breakfast in Café Lenôtre - Le Pavillon Elysee which opens early enough for me to be there 8:30 AM.

I needed to make a reservation A MONTH ahead of time since its hard to stop by and find a free table but its always better to take the safe side. Reservations can be done on their website. While looking for a reservation online, even though it was a month ahead of my arrival, all tables were almost reserved ALL DAY everyday through the whole month (August) but lucky me got to fit us at one of the tables when its time to open which was a little early. We left the hotel at 8 AM heading to Champs Elysées taking the metro took us about 15 min to get there. Arriving at Champs Elysées metro station at around 8:20 we walked to Café Lenôtre arriving just on time to enjoy a wonderful breakfast by having a fantastic and I could add to that the best Quiche I have ever eaten!

Back to the hotel after a wonderful breakfast at Cafe Lenotre to get together with the fam then be able to start the day with all of them. We walked around the city at first to before some sightseeing around Paris. After walking around for a while, We stopped by "SUZETTE" for some crepes that I always crave for whenever I go out in Paris!

As always, my favorite crepe is a crispy nutella crepe! :D Crepiers are found everywhere in Paris since it attracts tourists with its tastey smell and delicious taste. Didn't wanna spend half an hour in Suzette so decided to eat the crepe while walking to our next destination, Arc de Trimophe which is just by the end of Champs Elysées avenue.

Again, taking the metro to Champs Elysée, Arrived there and it was so packed! walking by stores for some shopping on the way to Arc de Trimophe, stopped by Zara Men, Adidas, Celio, Jules, ESPRIT, and many many other shops including going to the mall which had more shops! Needed one whole day to finish but did it really quick since there wasn't much time to waste.

Finally, after walking for a long distance, arriving to Arc de Triomphe that stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle, also known as the "Place de l'Étoile" It is at the western end of the Champs-Élysées.

The triumphal arch honors those who fought for France, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars. On the inside and the top of the arc there are all of the names of generals and wars fought. Underneath is the tomb of the unknown soldier from World War I.

Since Eiffel Tower is not far from Arc de Trimophe or Champs-Élysées, we walked down to Eiffel Tower and the area surrounding it. The whole area with its surrounding was amazingly beautiful. Rested there for a little while because it was a quite long walking distance from Arc de Trimophe. Had lunch around the area while waiting to go to the top of the tower.

Paying the fee as of 9 Euros to get on top of the tower, got the chance to get a good view of Paris! There on top of the tower there were small shops where we got some ice cream. Since we were planning on coming back to the tower at night to see the light show, we decided to take another tour around the city.

Never stopped doing anything that day, so I can't say I wasted any second at my first day in Paris. It was a pretty eventful day and all what was needed was dinner and then go to see the light show at Eiffel Tower which happens after the sunset.

"Every evening, the Tower donned its blue night-lighting at sunset, dotted with the 12 yellow stars representing the European flag. The sparkling lights remained in place, glittering every hour on the hour for 5 minutes as usual"

After having a good day around paris, it was time to go back to the hotel to sleep and get up early for another day and different things!

Bonne Nuit!
